LPS get involved with many local community events including Lymm Festival and Transport Day. We work closely with the Parish Council and are proud to be supporting the bid for Town of Culture.
The society were thrilled to be invited by Frank Cookson to record a life on the farm over the course of a year. The project was to capture images which reflected the people and activities on the farm.
Get involved in our
Challenges
We have regular themed challenges where we invite members to take photos on a particular theme and constructive feedback is given during an evening.
Community
Themes
Some of the recent themes have been “Wish you were here” and “Identify This”. Members are encouraged to take photos on the selected theme and then they are shown during an evening.
We also hold technical evenings where members are given advice on different topics such as mastering Lightroom. We also hold practical evenings. These evenings have included portraiture and table top photography.
